Dr. Vincent Dogo has put in over 30 years in the electricity supply industry and related fields within and outside Nigeria. His engineering career and practice touched on the areas of power systems planning, development, coordination, design and management; telecommunication systems development; and renewable energy projects development. He is currently involved in the Kwa Zulu Nathal (KZN) Cato Ridge Power Project in South Africa as the Project Lead and design expert.
Locally, Dr. Dogo has been involved in a number of power system projects which includes: Design and Review of Mambilla and Zungeru Hydro Power projects; Rehabilitation of 110MW TPP/TBS for Ajaokuta Steel Complex Nigeria; Design and Construction of 330kV/132kV Transmission Lines and Substations. He was the Pioneer Chief Operating Officer (COO) for 2 major telecommunication companies – Phase3 Telecommunications Ltd (a giant “HIGH VOLTAGE FIBER OPTIC TELECOMS” Company using 330kV transmission Lines) and Backbone Connectivity Networks (BCN) (a metropolitan fiber optics telecoms company in Abuja, Nigeria). He is credited with the development of High Order Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) and Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems for telecommunication networks in Africa.
Dr. Dogo served as the Senior Special Assistant (Technical) to the Honourable Minister of Power, Federal Republic of Nigeria responsible for advising the Honourable Minister on matters of Power Sector policies. He was a Pioneer Member of the Technical Board of the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) in Cape Verde and was also the Chairman of the committee that drafted and implemented the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Policy which was adopted by the 13 Member Heads of State at the ECOWAS Assembly in 2010.
He is the Director, Power of De-Sadel Consortium and brings his wealth of experience to assist the group achieve its goals and objectives.
Dr. Dogo holds an MSc degree in Power Engineering and a PhD degree in Electronics Design. He is a member of many professional bodies and registered by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
